On October 8, 1934 At Navin Field the St Louis Cardinals Paul Dean won his second game of the series, Dean pitched a complete game 7 hitter, he will go 2-0 in his only World Series appearance.

The Tiger's came into the game up 3 games to 2 and pitched ace Schoolboy Rowe who had beaten the Cardinal's earlier in the series. The tiger's also had hall of famers, Charlie Gehringer, Goose Goslin, Mickey Cochrane, and Hank Greenberg. The Tigers had tied it up 3-3 in the 6th and then in 7th, Durocher hit a one-out doubled to center Dean singled him in to give the Cardinal's the lead for good.  Durocher leads the offense going 3-4
